From the frozen Arctic to the remote South Pacific, Martin Gregus has spent nearly two decades documenting wildlife at its most raw and powerful. Raised in Bratislava, Slovakia, in a family of artists and inspired by his father’s camera, his passion for nature began at just eight years old.
He is best known for his polar bear expeditions, including 33 Days Among the Bears, a project featured by National Geographic that brought global attention to his work. Today, based in Canada, he works as a director of photography and licensed drone pilot on cinematic productions for Disney, BBC, and Netflix.
Beyond filming, he shares his experience through exhibitions, workshops, and TEDx talks, inspiring others to respect and protect the natural world.
